A lifestyle master with two decades of living amongst the fetish & Goth community in London, Stuart Smith has written, taught, photographed, and generally enthused about the wonderful ways in which role-play can be a life-enhancing experience. He did some of the first SM demos at UK fetish clubs, and helped to develop the monthly London Fetish Fair in the early 90`s.
An inveterate clubber and designer, since moving to New Zealand five years ago - he says the weather is better. Stuart has made a number of initiatives to kick-start European-style fetish clubs in Auckland. He had a hand in establishing Northern Bonds, and is currently the director of the Auckland Fetish Fair, Kinkfest Auckland, and the Sushi & Shibari Evenings.
“Clubbing is at the heart of the kink scene. It’s where most of us can meet, play safely and socialise. I like clubs and would like to offer Auckland the same sort of fetish/BDSM clubbing that Australia, and rest of the world, seems to enjoy”.
In lighter moments, Stuart is a human rights campaigner, researcher, and western martial artist.
